MBS Background:
Mary Shetler decided to use her broad background in instructional design, copywriting, editing, video production and WordPress web development to assist entrepreneurs, small/medium businesses and non-profit organizations with their communication needs.

Over the years, Mary has worked on a variety of marketing and training programs for business & industry in Eastern Iowa/Western Illinois, including: Nielsen’s Clearing House, Modern Woodmen of America, DuPont, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Beeline, Jane Lamb Health Center, Hawkeye Chemical, and the River City Chamber of Commerce.

After receiving her Masters in Instructional Design & Technology from the University of Iowa, Mary was employed by Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ. During her tenure at Honeywell, Mary worked in Technical Training and Public Affairs where she wrote numerous training & marketing video scripts, brochures, newsletters, press releases, and speeches for all management levels.

While stepping away from the workforce to raise her daughters, Mary welcomed the opportunity to volunteer for numerous community organizations utilizing her communications background along the way.

In 2008, a twist of fate brought Mary’s family back to Iowa. Believing in the philosophy that “there’s no better time than now to follow your instincts and create your own opportunity,” Mary decided to apply her communications skills to help grow other small/medium businesses and non-profit organizations.
